What is CUL New Books?
CUL New Books is an online tool that lets you browse recent additions to the collections of Cornell University Library.
How often are the lists updated?
CUL New Books is updated once a month. At the beginning of a new month, items cataloged in the previous month are compiled and added to the site.
What types of items are included in the lists?
The lists now include ANY new items that have been added to the CUL collections, including books, ebooks, serials, eserials, musical scores, maps, videos, sound recordings, images, computer files, manuscripts, and websites -- anything that is cataloged at Cornell.
What does the keyword search actually search?
Currently, the keyword search looks for matches in the full title and statement of responsibility, any subject headings found in the full catalog record, and any prefix to the call number, such as "Thesis" or "New & Noteworthy Books". The results will list any items that match ALL of your search terms.
Who created CUL New Books?
CUL New Books was developed by Keith Jenkins, a librarian at Cornell University's Mann Library. Many thanks go to other Cornell librarians and staff who have tested the site, provided feedback, and suggested improvements.
I have an idea... where can I send my suggestion?
